Van Der Valk Hotel Akersloot / A9 Alkmaar

I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would recomand the venue. The location was great and stunning in a great area, near to the restaurant with a colleague, north Holland and Alkmaar, Haarlem, nice beaches and the Zaanse Schans. Also, such main attraction as Alkmaardermeer was 5 km from this hotel. The staff was very good and courteous, the bathroom was luxurious. They provided an enjoyable breakfast with fresh brewed coffee...

Amazingly nice staff provides a very efficient service. The units are recently refurbished, soundproof with excellent beds and bathroom. Perfect breakfast, thanks a lot.

The wellness area with the big pool is great! Altogether the hotel is to be recommended!

This is a hotel go-to for Akersloot! Loved the pool. It's 20 mins walk to the center.

With the two single beds, the entire bed slid apart immediately .. when I slid towards the center .. mattress a little uncomfortable. Next time we will definitely choose double bed again because the box spring mattress is much more comfortable .. even if it is more expensive ... The steam sauna is almost never on when we come .. unfortunately ..

No aircondition and very, very noisy early morning and late evening. The go -around balcony is absolutely not a good idea

Decent Stay with Challenges

Despite the noise from neighboring rooms, our two-night stay had highlights, like the cute staff and the refreshing indoor pool. Meals were satisfactory, though not nice. Room amenities could be improved. We faced issues with towels and housekeeping. Pro tip, Ask for amenities upfront.

Excellent staff ,always smart, happy and helpful. Good food with plenty of space for dining.

The pool was in need of maintenance. The ladder at the shallow end was missing, and the water level was too low, so it would bevery difficult for some people to leave the water. Also, the floor of the pool was badly stained.

Great hotel, friendly staff, good room, good rate, excellent breakfast. Large rooms with comfortable beds. Free wifi!! Perfect location near Amsterdam, Haarlem, Alkmaar, the Zaanse Schans and very nice beaches (Egmond, Bergen). The pool is great! We loved our stay this hotel is perfect, we will definately visit this hotel again.

Spacious room, serene surroundings, with a lovely indoor swimming pool and excellent breakfast options that included a large variety of fresh juices and snacks.
